Green Bay -- After selecting two quarterbacks in the draft and considering others as undrafted free agents, the Packers let quarterbacks Jerry Babb and Dalton Bell go Monday.
Babb and Bell were both signed as "futures" free agents after the season and had been taking part in the team's off-season workout program. But after GM Ted Thompson took Louisville quarterback Brian Brohm in the second round and LSU's Matt Flynn in the seventh, there really wasn't much room for the other two.
The Packers have a rookie minicamp this weekend and it's likely coach Mike McCarthy wanted Brohm and Flynn to get the bulk of the snaps in practice. The Packers may sign another undrafted quarterback or bring one in for a tryout this weekend.
