Tiger-Cats Acquire Receiver Frank Murphy
Hamilton, Ontario - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has acquired import receiver Frank Murphy from the Toronto Argonauts in exchange for import running back Anthony Davis.
"The addition of Frank to our offence upgrades our receiving corps," said general manager Bob O'Billovich. "We believe that Frank's abilities make him a great fit for this team."
Murphy recorded 37 receptions for 614 yards and two touchdowns with Toronto in 2007, his first CFL campaign. Prior to joining the Argonauts, Murphy had stints with the NFL's Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Houston Texans and Chicago Bears after being drafted by the Bears in the sixth round (170th overall) of the 2000 NFL Draft.
