Post Texans next QB?

Quote:
Almost any place unhappy with its starting quarterback has Plummer at the top of its wish list, most prominently Houston because of the natural connection between Gary Kubiak and Plummer.

Kubiak coordinated Plummer to his best seasons, right into the conference title game, and without Kubiak, the fall of Plummer was faster than wet wash and the Broncos offense fell along with him.
Seems like the best option for the Texans right now.

No, the best option is Carr. IMO at this point giving up on Carr is irrational. They need to build around him. His support cast this season included 2 good WR's and........
A QB needs a good supporting cast to succeed, and the Texans need to build that. What Plummer gonna do for them Nothing more than Carr would

Yea but how do you know that Jake Plummer will have a year like he did in denver 2 years ago??...Or you could have the other Jake Plummer who does horrible and throws too many picks.

IMO the best draft scenario is drafting (whether its moving up by trading Carr for the pks to get him) APeterson; drafting Michael Bush in the 2nd; keeping Dayne/Chris Taylor. Sage Rosenfels at QB, using the rest of draft pks and FA monies on Defense and Oline. If you have a great running attack and a better core of defense and blocking both passing/running you don't need Steve Young or Vince Young at QB? Sage is better than David Anyway, he already proved that in preseason and when we pulled David during the season. I wouldn't waste time or money on high priced FA quarterbacks like Plummer/Garcia/whoever else, when Sage is right here and younger, and knows you're offense, why can't Gary work w/ him? He was willing to work with David, give Sage a chance?

I desire Carr greatly to don Pewter and Red next season. I have heard the asking price is a 4th...hell I wouldn't be mad if he cost a 3rd.

Nothing wrong with Carr. He has solid passer ratings all year pretty much. What he needs is protection, and to maybe learn to keep a firm hold on that ball if he busts a run.

But look at the team Plummer played for 2 years ago. They were in the AFC champoinship game, and probobly would have won the SB if Plummer didnt choke against the Steelers. He wouldnt have half as good a support system in Houston. They had one of the best lines in football in Denver, and would have one of the worst in Houston

Yea but Jake knows how to run with the ball alot better when he is feeling the heat.At least way better then David Carr does.
