Part of the changes being implemented by the Texans under new head coach Gary Kubiak include having Carr roll out more often and run more in certain situations, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Kubiak told the quarterback that he has the freedom to run for a first down on third-and-five, if he thinks he can make it. Above all, Kubiak, assistant coach/offense Mike Sherman and offensive coordinator Troy Calhoun must develop better schemes in pass protection as well as teaching Carr how to avoid sacks.
