Quote:
In an effort to possibly add another veteran to the defensive line, the Texans will visit with tackle Sam Adams today.

The 6-3, 350-pounder played high school football at Cy-Creek and was a standout at Texas A&M. Adams has played for Seattle, Baltimore, Oakland, Buffalo and Cincinnati.

He was a first-round pick of the Seahawks in 1994. In 13 seasons, Adams has played in 198 games and racked up 389 tackles and 44 sacks. He started all 16 games last season for the Bengals, finishing with 14 tackles and two sacks.

Adams is definitely on the tail end of his career, but he can still be a clog in the middle of any running game. May not be a bad pickup for the Texans.

Thats what i was thinking. Not as good as he once was, but still good enough to get some snaps and shut down some running lanes. Would help out Williams and Okoye.

Wouldn't be a bad pickup I guess. They run a 4-3 which would be a little easier on him as an individual. He could possibly start there and mentor Amboi Okoye.
