Texans agree to terms with top pick Okoye | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle
The Texans agreed on a contract with first-round pick Amobi Okoye late Thursday evening. The deal means the Texans will have all of their players on the field when the team reports to its first practice Friday morning.
Okoye's deal is for six years, the last if which can be voided if he reaches certain incentives. Financial terms of the contract were not available Thursday night.
Training camp officially got underway Thursday afternoon. With cornerback Fred Bennett (fourth-round) and offensive tackle Brandon Frye (fifth-round) signing their contracts that same day, Okoye was the lone player not to attend the team meeting.
