Carr is in, Bush is #1
the Texans have resigned David Carr for another three years. this means that will not be drafting a QB, so it looks like Reggie Bush is a lock for the number one pick.

Good move by the Texans to keep Carr. Now that they've hired a coach who knows what O.L. stands for, I see him putting up excellent passing numbers. Add some rushing to that between Bush and Davis and you've got a pretty decent offense.

Am I the only one that sees this as them going O-line instead of RB?

If they stay with the first pick there is a good chance that they will go with Bush. I think that they will try their best to trade down and go OL. The Jets to me seem like the best choice, they need a new RB the Texans can still still get the best OL.

I still just think that they're bluffing with Bush and will trade it, they just so much more then something they already have.

I actually would....but it's like I said before, they have a more then adequate RB already who they just gave a contact extension to in August and grabbing a RB now and having to pay him #1 pick money gives you a pretty pricey backfield. They have SO many more needs then a RB and if the OL stays the way it is it doesn't matter if you stick Walter Payton back there.

^^^It's true. However, as a business and not per se as a team, they have a lot of needs to address as well. Anyone besides me notice how EMPTY Reliant Stadium was this year? They need fans if they intend to make money and stay in business. Bush would help them with that. Kids are gonna all line up to buy Bush jerseys no matter what team drafts him. Texans could use that merchandise money, and they could use all the fans that will come just to see how Bush does. He's a big-name player in a position to save a failing franchise. They'll take him, there's no reason not to.
Also, Kubiak, unlike Capers, doesn't think the abbreviation O.L. stands for Out to Lunch. I'm sure that's the first thing on his agenda of things to fix with FA.

That's true, and I guess a lot of what the Texans do draft wise will depend on what they do in free agency.
Do you think they would be better off (sales wise) if they got Bush or Young? I figured it's almost the same situation, Carr just basically got his extension but it's not that much money (much like Davis's deal) and Vince is even from Texas.
