The Texans continue to target one of their biggest areas of need — the secondary — in free agency.
The Texans are expected to add another former Denver Broncos player to their roster by signing safety Nick Ferguson, 33, as early as today.
Ferguson (5-11, 201) appeared in 12 games for the Broncos last season, starting seven. A knee injury landed the eight-year veteran on injured reserve in December.
The Texans also will meet with cornerback Andre Dyson, 28, at Reliant Stadium today. Dyson (5-10, 183) is entering his eighth season.
He spent the first four seasons of his career as a starter for the Tennessee Titans. Since leaving the Titans, he has spent one season in Seattle and two with the New York Jets.
Dyson had 12 tackles and one interception in nine appearances with the Jets last season.
