Jose Cortez: Signs with Colts

Update: Cortez signed a one-year contract with the Colts, the Indianapolis Star reports.

Recommendation: With Mike Vanderjagt likely to leave as an unrestricted free agent, he'll compete for the placekicking duties this summer. However, it's still possible the Colts will sign another veteran kicker to compete for the job.

my guess is that cortez will be the kickoff guy and they'll sign someone else to be the fg guy

Maybe Cortez felt getting cut from three teams last year wasn't enough.. Let's see him break that record this year, we're probably desperate enough to take him in GB after Indy lets him go..

Ouch, after the way Cortez played for the cowboys, i figured he would have been a goner by now.

They'll regret letting Vandy go. Yea he missed a huge kick, but other than that he was pretty much automatic. Now their best option is Cortez, who is a kickoff specialist? Guess Peyton better score more TD's if that's their only hope.
