Kevin O'Neal of the Indianapolis Star reports only 11 fans showed up at Indianapolis International Airport on a cold, snowbound Monday afternoon, when the team returned following their 31-17 defeat Sunday by the New Orleans Saints at Super Bowl XLIV in Miami.
The small group huddled together in the snow outside the closed Express Mail sorting facility at the airport, where the Colts' planes arrived around 4 p.m. Monday -- a Boeing 757 for the official party and an Airbus 330 for the team.
Well if you dont win fans dont want no part with you. When you win theyre pack up the stadium. When you lose they stay away .Baltimore fans are like that too. Look here and see what happens when O's lose
I've never understood showing up at the airport. I'd rather just show up to the parade.
Because your there to support your team as soon as they land back home even if they lost. We did the same thing here for the Seahawks, there were a lot of people at the airport. And since they didn't win there is no parade so that is the only shot you get.
The Patriots had a few hundred come down to greet them two years ago. Not nearly as much as the thousands that would have greeted them had they won.
It is only fair to mention that Indianapolis just got through with a pretty big snow storm. I don't know how the weather is in Seattle this time of year, but in Indy it is freezing cold. When there isn't anything officially going on, its tough to wait out there for them to get back to the stadium.

You mean like when the Seahawks played the Bears in 2006 in the divisional game?

Then Brett Favre became a Jet...
That's sad.
If I were within driving distance, I would've went. They mightve choked, but they are still the home team and they made it to the Super Bowl.
