well the Colts did a great job replacing Vanderjact and taking a big piece of Patriots history in the process.

viniatieri was clutch in all weather, I wonder if he'll be able to adjust to absolute perfect kicking conditions. LOL

Vanderjact didn't a couple of years ago, and we all know Adam is better, so it is a possiblity that he could go perfect.

vandy has never missed a january FG before that kick, and he has never missed an OT kick, I won't dispute that he is a drunk, but his %'s are much better than vinny in almost every category.
vandy actually has a better career away percentage than home
88.6 to 86.7
He has made every FG in cold weather 8/8
his worst percentage is 61-80 degrees where he is 81.6% 31/38
His indoor percentage (87.6) is only slightly better than his outdoor percentage (87.4) and has only missed 13 kicks outdoors out of 103 attempts
And the FG miss against pitt was the first FG he ever missed in January.
He doesn't seem like that bad of a kicker outside of the dome anymore does he?
These numbers are very interesting
vandy's highest %'s come in the 3rd and4th quater except he has never missed in OT games.
in close games he is 89.1 % accuarate and in close games & late in the game he is 89.5% accurate
just for camparison
vinatieri
close games - 80%
close and late - 78.4%
indoors - 94.4%
outdoors - 80.4%
cold - 81.4%
grass - 80.5%
turf - 86.3%
home - 81%
away - 83%
4th - 82.3%
OT - 80%
2min left in half - 77.3%
when tied - 88.5%
when behind - 77.6%
Vandy's numbers outshine vinny in almost every category.

In all honesty he only missed one big kick. Sure it was the kick of the season, but you can't blame him for loseing the game. It's not he was the reciever that droped the pass in the endzone to bring up a fourth and long. That was Wayne, but no one blames him.

Yea, dropping him was a little far. But at least they got another big kicker to replace him. But if Vinny misses one are they going to fire him too?

or the idiot that allowed himself to be tackled by roethlisberger instead of getting a TD on the fumble return
