Indy wins the division .. im thinking 12-4, maybe 13-3, Peyton will be passing more than what he used to which will open up even bigger numbers for him... watch out for him to break Dan Marinos single season passing record for yards ... which was over 5,000..

yeh maybe but either rhodes or addai will have to step in and be a part of the run game beacause if a offense is one dementional itll be harder for manning to put up those type of numbers...but thats just my opinion..

A few comments...

1. First of all, let's keep it civil folks. I don't really care who started the insults, innappropriate comments and language. We're all football fans who love the sport and love our teams. Let's be respectful to each other.

2. Colts: Let me break it down... Colts Prediction: 11-5

DIVISION: Colts will easily win their division. The only serious challenge to them is Jacksonville. The Texans are (in my opinion) the worst team in the NFL right now and Titans lack star power and talent. Though the Titans did great in the draft (especially with Vince Young and LenDale White), I think it will take some time before we see the fruits of their efforts.

CONFERENCE: Right now, I'd rank the Patriots, Steelers, Dolphins, Broncos and possibly the Bengals (especially since the Bengals took steps to fix their 28th ranked defense) as superior teams. Jacksonville might be able to put up a serious challenge, but that's iffy.

LEAGUE: Waaaaaaay too many superior teams: In addition to the teams in the AFC, you also have some powerful NFC contenders the Colts may have to deal with: Carolina and Seattle (both teams have stellar offense and defense capabilities), Philadelphia (if they remain injury and conflict free) and the Tampa Bay.

I don't think the Colts will be as good as they were last season... not because they are looking worse, but because so many other teams are looking better, especially after the draft. I think the one prediction of 14-2 is waaaaaay off... I just don't see how they can accomplish that goal.

That's just my opinion.

Nice opinion. Now would you care to back that up with some facts? You can't. So I will. When's the last time the Titans won a Superbowl? When's the last time Green Bay won a Superbowl? Both less than 10 years ago. When's the last time Detroit won a Superbowl? NEVER. When's the last time Detroit even won a playoff game? 1991. When's the last time Detroit was a serious playoff threat? 1957. So in effect, the Lions have sucked for 50 years. During those 50 years, Green Bay won 8 NFL titles. Move along, nothing to see here.

This posted made more sense till BigBoy removed my post right before this. But let me tell you it was a side spliter.

Now that we have this all cleaned up...we can get this one back on topic!

I can see the Colts at about 12-4 and maybe even 13-3, there's no question they are a great regular season team but will be gone IMO short in the playoffs.

WR Wayne planning big things

By Mike Chappell
mike.chappell@indystar.com
Reggie Wayne's place with the Indianapolis Colts is secure, but the veteran receiver isn't satisfied.

Last season, he snapped Marvin Harrison's streak of six consecutive seasons leading the team in receptions. Wayne finished with a career-best 83, one more than Harrison.
"What it means to me is Peyton (Manning) is starting to trust me more,'' Wayne said Saturday. "It motivates me to keep doing it.''
Intent on retaining their 2001 first-round draft pick, the Colts in February re-signed him to a six-year, $39 million contract that included a $12.5 million signing bonus.
"I guess I'm able to buy a bigger house,'' Wayne said, smiling. "Other than that, it doesn't change anything.''
The financial commitment served as a type of vindication for Wayne.
"There was a lot of tough talk when I first arrived here,'' he said. "Everyone wanted a defensive guy, wondering why me.''
Now, the wondering likely has ceased. Wayne, who has increased his reception total in each of his first five seasons, is confident his best is yet to come.
"There's more,'' he said. "Hopefully we can keep climbing the ladder. I consider myself young. I'm 27 years old, so I think I can keep getting better and better. If I continue to push myself like I've been doing every summer, it shouldn't be a problem.''

Stokley's excused absence
Veteran receiver Brandon Stokley missed Saturday's two workouts, but had a good excuse. His wife, Lana, was expected to deliver the couple's second son this weekend. There was no word late Saturday whether she had delivered.
