Now that hurts, I had him already in an Eagles uni and now this

I will say though this is a great move on the Colts part...now do they tag edge again?

I hate to see him come back to Indy, now KC has to put up with him in the playoofs next year.

This was a great move on the Colts part, Harrison isn't getting any younger and Wayne is a talented WR capable of playing the as a #1.

This also allows flexability at the RB positions. They have 9 choices:

1. Tag Edge
2. Pick SA up in freeagency.
3. Trade for Dominick Davis. (Would we really see an in division trade?)
4. Trade for Priest Holmes.
5. Try and take either Buckhalter, Westbrook or Mgee from Egales.
6. Jamal Lewis?
7. Amhan Green?
8. Try to use Mungro and/or Rhodes.
9. Try and get one of Chi towns guys.

No offense here at all Jayhawk. It just seems most of those choices don't seem feasible. At least from my point of view.
I will explain:

Tag Edge-They either can't afford him or don't want him
Pick SA up.-If they were gonna do that, they'd just stay with Edge
Trade for Dominick Davis-Would we really see an in-division trade? Doubtful.
Try and take either Buckhalter, Westbrook or Mgee-Eagles won't let that happen..
Jamal Lewis?-Not the power runner Indy needs, wouldn't work behind swiss cheese Indy Oline
Ahman Green?-Is old and injury prone
Try to use Mungro and/or Rhodes.-Are they playing to win or not?

In my humble opinion, that leaves:

1. Try and get one of Chi towns guys.
2. Trade for Priest Holmes.

I would also wonder if the Chicago RBs are really worth picking up, or what the Colts would have to offer the Chiefs in exchange for Holmes that the Chiefs don't already have, but those are questions the Colts can answer. I don't really care to see them blow it in the playoffs anymore than they already have; hopefully they just don't make it at all next year.

Texans in 2007!

I totally agree with you Storm. What this says to me is that the Colts value the pass....a LOT. There isn't a feasible way IMO that they can even get Holmes because of his cap # (at the moment) and any move KC makes with him ie. cutting him or a trade would cost them more $$ against the cap then it would to just keep him.

IMO they only have an option to draft one or go with a committee approach with lesser paid FA RB's such as maybe Buckhalter, C. Taylor (if he's let go), maybe even a guy like Bennett. They were put into a rough spot and it seems like every year they're placed in this situation and the money is going to keep coming some how from them. They still have every starting LB as FA's, Triplett, Mathis and next year Freeney....it is going to have to be some one cheap at RB, I myself am going with them drafting some one...late.

1000 points says he won't last that long. If Arizona doesn't pick him, Minny will. I really don't see him going before White though. We'll watch and see, I guess...
