Injuries are never good but as a Niner fan holding the Colts 1st rounder next year I'm not to mad.

So damn, in the end, which Super Bowl team is really the one having the bad offseason?

Still a good trade for the Colts, they wouldn't have gotten out of the WC round with what they had.

Thank you

it's hard to say. everyone predicted gloom and doom for the colts last year when they had a "horrible" offseason by losing the great edgerrin james and replacing him with "some scrub from LSU." Gotta wait, I guess.

edit: and I agree about the good trade last yr to get them over the hump

I'm just saying, a couple of weeks after the Super Bowl everybody seemed to think the Bears were melting down from that dumb *** Super Bowl loser jinx, when really the only thing that happened was the Thomas Jones trade which was going to happen anyway. Now off the top of my head the Colts lose a starting tackle and another big piece of their line that already had no margin for error.

It is hard to repeat, even for the Pats.

They lost a big guy in the middle. That LT, and two other starters on the D side of the ball I think.

The big issue for me is that unlike last year, the Colts don't have the ammunition (because we've already given up next year's first for Ugoh) to go out and fix this. Brock and Pitcock are going to be below average compared to the rest of the league (although I like both players). Plus we have next to no depth following them (Darrell Reid, Klecko?). If Glenn's retirement has opened up a bit of cap space, I would be all for going out and signing any kind of verteran player recently cut or still out there (Tony Williams, Lionel Dalton? I'm not impressed with either) Maybe a trade involving our 3rd or 4th rounder next year...
