i said they named him the starter to up his trade value. and they did. they have no confidence in him. you can all be overcritical fans and say gerard sucks but at least he made plays. he had his bad stretch but he looked better than byron.
hell i even said years ago that he'd hit his ceiling way back then and that'd be as good as he'd be in a jags uni. and that was right, too. but nooooo, everyone for some reason loved this guy. why? only god knows why.
if leftwich goes to houston he can kiss his career goodbye. he sucked with a good offense. he'll end up a cfl'er with the texans offense. i'd go to the jets-he'd be one pennington snap away from a full time gig. or the bucs, where every qb goes to die.
