The Jaguars don't want their fans to endure another roller-coaster ride this season.
"I think this team is ready to stop hearing about roller-coasters and go straight up," defensive tackle John Henderson said.
The Jaguars have been tagged an up-and-down team because of their reputation of playing to the level of their competition.
"We're up here for the great teams and down here for the little teams," Henderson said, using his hands to illustrate his point. "We can't be like that. We've got to be like every team is a Super Bowl team, and we've got to go get them."
Marcus Stroud, who with Henderson anchors the interior of the Jaguars' defensive line, echoed that theme.
"We're treating everybody like they're the Super Bowl champions," Stroud said. "We've got 16 Super Bowl championship teams to play this year, and we want to beat them all. We have too much talent on this team for us to be up and down."
