Default MJD and Garrard hurt

Jaguars: MoJo sprains knee

The News
During Monday night's game, Maurice Jones-Drew limped off of the field late in the fourth quarter with a left knee sprain, according to ESPN commentators. Jones-Drew had 52 yards and a touchdown on the night.

Our View
MoJo's health along with David Garrard is the story of the night for the Jaguars. Garrard returned for a series in the second quarter before he was replaced at half time, but Jones-Drew's injury came with less than a minute remaining in the game, so we won't know the extent of the injury until tomorrow.

I really hope that Mojo's injury isn't that serious. He did take a beating last night though.

Jaguars' Garrard has MRI to determine severity of ankle injury
Tuesday, October 23, 2007

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Jaguars quarterback David Garrard had an MRI Tuesday to determine the extent of his sprained left ankle.

Garrard injured his ankle in Monday night's 29-7 loss to Indianapolis. He limped into the locker room following the second-quarter sack by Ed Johnson, got his ankle re-taped and returned to the game. However, swelling increased during halftime, forcing Garrard back to the bench. He finished 8-of-12 passing for 72 yards.

Coach Jack Del Rio said Garrard likely would miss at least one game, adding he expects to have an update and a timetable for Garrard's return Wednesday.

The Jaguars (4-2) open a three-game road trip Sunday at Tampa Bay. Quinn Gray is expected to make his first career start. Gray was 9-of-24 for 56 yards with two interceptions.
