After his return from suspension, Jaguars DT Marcus Stroud says supplements were tainted

Jaguars DT Marcus Stroud ingested something on the NFL's banned substances list despite the fact he matched the list to ingredients on a supplement bottle's label before taking them.
"I was working out in Atlanta with a doctor [this spring following ankle surgery]," Stroud said. "He gave me some supplements. I took 'em. That's the gist of it. Apparently there was something in there that wasn't supposed to be in there."
Stroud returned to practice -- and met the media -- Wednesday for the first time since getting hit with a four-game suspension for violating the league's anabolic steroids and related-substances policy. He declined to say what supplements he took but said they were available over the counter from most nutrition and vitamin stores.
"It wasn't like I was going online and going to the Orlando pharmacy," he said, referring to Signature Compounding Pharmacy, some of whose executives have been indicted in a multi-state steroids investigation.
Stroud, who denies taking steroids, said this was his first time he worked with the doctor on any rehab and now he no longer visits him. He would not identify the doctor.
"I'm not here to point fingers at anybody," he said. "I took 'em."
