Default Matt Jones

Matt Jones is a freak of nature. 6'6 and 240lbs of white boy, runnin 40's in like 4.37 seconds. I think Jacksonville fans should appreciate such a fine athlete from a excellent college like the University of Arkansas. Matt Jones holds the record for the most career rushing yards for a QB in the SEC. That's a record that not even 'lil Timmy Tebow could break. It's just a nice feeling when you've got a guy like that on your team.

He is a beast, and when I get around to using the Jags on Madden he is my go to guy.

he is a great athlete. but the SEC record i care about the most is 42..as in career wins by UGA'S David Greene(all time NCAA record). matt jones will be a pro-bowler soon.

Matt hasn't really done much in Jax. I dont know what the TD record is in the SEC. But I am sure Tim Tebow has the potetial to Break it. Tim Tebow is a diff kind of runner than Matt is. He doesn't rely solely on speed. He is a very tough runner. When Tim does make it to the Pros he will be a QB not a WR.

Matt Jones is a beast yes. He is one of my favorite players and it is sad that he got injured.

Could it be that last year was his first as a WR? Could it be that he needed time to adjust to the position? Could it possinly be because he's been injured alot of the year? Possibly so..

Obviously those are the reasons he is not doing well. They are also the reason I dont think he will ever blossum into the player people want him too. He is just another example of how the Combine is overrated. Sure, he is physically Talented. He is a guy that wont be bad, but I dont think he will ever be good either. I doubt he will ever make a Pro Bowl. He might have a couple good years.

Matt Jones had 2,559 yards and 24 TD's rushing for a career record. Not bad for a QB in the SEC. Tebow does not have near the athletic talent or ability that Matt Jones had. Tebow, in fact, is three inches shorter and weighs less (even if you compare freshman to freshman.) Not to mention, Matt Jones also threw for 5,857 yards and 53 TD's, with 30 INT's and was sacked 39 times. Those aren't bad numbers for a WR, either. And you can't say that Matt Jones wasn't a physical runner. He was extremely hard to tackle, because of his size, speed, and agility. I'd take Jones over Tebow any day.

Are you smokin crack???? He's been injured part of this year, but have you seen any of the games in which they've thrown to him? When they need him to be a factor, he's a fkin factor... Pitts. the best example too. His first five catches were almost consecutive and all went for first downs. A couple of them by the sideline, dragging two feet. He's not only a talented athlete, but a player developing in a position he hasn't played since high-school (besides his awesome showing in the Senior Bowl). It's only been two years... LoL, the experts said it'd take him about three to really start to shine. He's already showing great promise. You can't honestly tell me he's not going to be a Pro Bowl player.... that's just crazy.

No kidding. Against the Steelers he couldn't be stopped. When the Jags need a first down on third and long guess who they threw to? Matt Jones. He is going to be a pro-bowler for sure.
