JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars signed defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy and three other free agents to contracts Wednesday.
They also signed offensive tackles Pete McMahon and Ryan Gibbons and long-snapper Brett Goode.
Kennedy, drafted 12th overall by St. Louis in the 2003 NFL Draft, spent the 2007 training camp with Denver before being released in final cuts. He was signed by Chicago in mid-December, played in the final three games and recorded three tackles.
Kennedy has 152 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 56 career games. He started 16 games for the Rams in 2006 and finished with career-high 55 tackles.
It's expected that Kennedy will help the Jaguars replace three-time Pro Bowl lineman Marcus Stroud, who was traded to Buffalo last week. The Jaguars also decided not to re-sign free agent defensive tackle Grady Jackson.
McMahon, Gibbons and Goode were in training camp with the Jaguars last season and were waived in September.
