harrington a chief?
THE NEWS
Put Kansas City on the possible list of destinations for soon-to-be free agent quarterback Joey Harrington. According to the Kansas City Star, team president Carl Peterson thought highly of Harrington when he came out of college, and Chiefs quarterbacks coach Terry Shea played with Joey's father at the University of Oregon.
Our View
The Chiefs are desperate for a backup and a succession plan for Trent Green, but mum's the word right now inside the organization, at least until Harrington is no longer formally under contract in Detroit.

Please no, I hate Harrington, he cant play ball to save his life.
Trent still has a good two years left. Draft a guy in the fourth round (by far KC's best round in the draft) and let him learn the ropes. Or go and get David Garrard from Jaxsonville

this could be good for both harrington and he chiefs, harrington will have a better OL to protect him,KC prefers to run first.and KC needs a viable back-up {successor** to green.

It would be awful for the Chiefs. Harrington is a big time bust, I really hope he doesn't become a Chief.

if he were to make it in KC gunner, they'd have to carry him through it. He has no leadership qualities.

I agree with gunner. there have been plenty of players in professional sports, not just football, who are not very good under one system but thrive in another. a player's success/failure is not entirely dictated by that player. the coaching staff and ownership can have a lot to do with it, as well as other players on the team. my opinion of harrington isn't any higher than anyone else's at this point, and until he can prove he can succeed elsewhere I will still have doubts..... but to be fair, the lions haven't been bad just because of joey.

again you could be right cold, but IMO he has the skills to play.otherwise he would'nt have been drafted so high.it could have been detroit's coaching staff and FO that set him up to fail.the kid deserves a second shot.
