I ask again, to mickey this time

where exacty did they improve their defense, the only way I see it is they hired Herm Edwards. The WR's still need help and TOny G is getting older. The line is getting older and in line for the injury bug. I don't think they can make it to 10 wins. 9 is the limit I say.

i think the chiefs will finish a close second to the broncos but if lj plays like last year the chiefs could win that divsion

I'd put them at best case scenario, 10-6. At worst case scenario, 4-12. I don't think they did enough on D, besides trying to implement a whole new system and rely on the draft to fill some holes. LJ is too good to be on the worst side of that estimate, although, teams now realize that he is a stud and definitely a force to be reckoned with and will start planning for that. With the new system coming in with Herm, I'd say they go 9-7, but 2-5 before a November streak and a split December.

well put bolts and you basically have said what I have been saying all along. It seems that once thier defense will finally play well enough, the offense is going to be too old, the line and the QB anyway.

i know they just signed Ty Law to go with Surtain. but does that really matter? what else have they done to improve the D. it doesnt matter how good ur corners are if u cant generate a pass rush. with the way the rules are towards the o, u can have the best pair of Cbs out there and it wont mean nothin if the QB has all day to pick u apart. besides who on that offense scares anyone these days? LJ is the only one. T. Gonzalez doesnt seem like he is the same player anymore. Dante Hall isnt the KR that he once was. And what about the recievers? if my sorry Chargers secondary can keep them in check than anyone can especially in the playoffs. we split with KC last year. in the second game LJ rushed for over 100 yards. i think he was the only RB last year that did that to us. i could be wrong ill have to check on that, but i dont think he will do the same especially with defenses geared to stop him 1st but i could be wrong. thats why they play the games.

you make an excellent point p-rez, my example is this: the eagles have one of the best secondaries in the league at safety and corner, two years ago when we actually had a pass rush, our DB's showed how awesome they were, 3 out 4 made it to the pro bowl and the one that didn't actually had the best season. last year, all the injuries to the line diminished the pass rush so much and it made our awesome secondary look bad. If the chiefs don't get a pass rush, it won't matter that they got law.

You are absolutely right Professor. However, if Tamba Hali has a rookie season and is able to pressure the QB, they have Jared Allen who had double digit sacks.

i was about to say why is law such a hot commodity when i looked him up and saw the numbers he had last year, wow he had his best season yet and he is only 32 he is in his prime nice pick up by the chiefs, now can they develop a pass rush to help him out i guess thats the question and can he stay healthy either way it looks like the secondary is improved. i also think LJ flew under the radar if teams treat him like the number one threat in that offense they could contain him i really dont see him as a LaDanian Tomlinson, he is not as explosive or as versatile

I saw some of the game between the Chiefs vs. Giants and saw the chiefs go three and out. During the series i saw johnson get hammered in the backfield and Turley get beat. My take is that it is still early but to get shut out in the preseason does not say much about your team atleast the packers scored some points against the sorry chargers.

I think most Raider fans are really excited about the game last night, because if that is any indication of how the Chiefs will play in 2006, then they might actually get a divisional-opponent win.
