Agent says QB Green will not play for Chiefs: South Florida Sun-Sentinel
excerpt:
A day after Chiefs President/General Manager Carl Peterson said he won't release Trent Green, the quarterback's agent said his client has no intentions of playing in Kansas City.
"Trent's not going to be returning," Jim Steiner told The Kansas City Star. "They've said Brodie Croyle is going to be the No. 1 or No. 2 quarterback. They brought back Damon Huard. They've told Trent they want to get younger. So the Chiefs determined that, not Trent. That's not going to happen. It's grossly unfair of the Chiefs to keep Trent on their roster."
The Dolphins refused to trade their fourth-round pick to Kansas City for Green in this weekend's draft. Peterson then rejected the Dolphins' offer of a sixth-round selection, according to Steiner.
"We don't have any intention on releasing [Green] or letting him go for something that's not of value," Peterson told ESPN. "He's more valuable to us right now than probably anything that Miami or anybody else can do."
