Jason King, of the Kansas City Star, reports the Kansas City Chiefs have signed first-round draft choice WR Dwayne Bowe to a five-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

RIVER FALLS, Wisconsin | Chiefs first-round draft pick Dwayne Bowe has reached a contract agreement with the team and is expected to arrive in River Falls this evening, Bowe’s representatives told The Star Sunday.

Bowe has agreed to a five-year deal. No other details were immediately available.

Bowe was the 23rd overall pick in last spring’s draft. Some speculated that his contract negotiations were slowed because high-profile quarterback Brady Quinn, who was drafted one spot ahead of him at No. 22, was asking for so much money from the Cleveland Browns. Quinn is still unsigned.

Bowe’s representatives, however, said Sunday that the situation involving Quinn was never a factor in Bowe’s negotiations.

I think that Revis would sign before Russell because it sounds like Revis is only fighting over the years while Russell has to get crazy money.
