Here are LJ's numbers in the games Roaf missed:
Roaf missed games 2,3, and 4 while LJ and Priest were splitting carries and here are the results:
Game 2: Priest and LJ combined for 27 carries for 116 yards and a one TD
Game 3: Priest and LJ combined for 22 carries for 74 yards and no TD's.
Game 4: Priest and LJ combined for 25 carries for 118 yards and one TD
Those are decent numbers but when it was just LJ the numbers shot up in games Roaf missed:
Game 9- LJ 22 carries for 107 yards, 3 for 48 rec, 2 TDs
Game 10-27 for 132, 5 for 46
Game 11- LJ 36 carries for 211 yards and 2 TD's.
my question is, when he's starting week one, will he be able to put up those kind of numbers in weeks 12-17, when it matters most? I think no matter what losing a guy like Roaf effects the entire offense.
Gonzo's numbers:
Games:
2: 5 for 44
3: 5 for 29
4: 2 for 5
9: 5 for 70
10: 8 for 81
11: 9 for 98
granted he seemed to do well, but those teams that he faced while roaf was out were all pretty bad defenses against the run:
Oak (ranked 25th): Priest and LJ combined for 27 carries for 116 yards and a one TD
Den (ranked 2): Priest and LJ combined for 22 carries for 74 yards and no TD's. LJ had 8 for 13, 1.6 ypc
Phi (ranked 21st): Priest and LJ combined for 25 carries for 118 yards and one TD. LJ had 7 for 34
Oak (ranked 25th): LJ 22 carries for 107 yards, 3 for 48 rec, 2 TDs
Buff (ranked 31st): 27 for 132, 5 for 46
Hou (ranked 32nd): 36 carries for 211 yards and 2 TD's.
