Default Chiefs DE Jared Allen DUI

Sat Sep 30, 11:33 AM ET

LEAWOOD, Kan. - Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Jared Allen has been charged with driving under the influence for the second time in five months.

Police pulled Allen over around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday after following a Dodge Charger that was not staying in the lane, Leawood Police Capt. Dale Finger said Friday.

Allen, who was alone in the car, refused to undergo sobriety testing and to take a breathalyzer test, so the officer placed him under arrest for DUI, Finger said.

The last thing Herm Edwards told these guys before they had their bye week was "I don't want to hear about any of you on Sports Center" and what does this guy do, goes out and screws up! I don't understand these people, (not just athletes) they are really cracking down on drunk driving and people just seem oblivious to it. The city he was stopped in is probably one of the toughest against this kind of thing in the metro area, and this being his second offense in 5 months, they will probably nail him to the wall, not to mention the NFL will suspend him for 4 games.
