Default Chiefs RB Johnson hurt on facemask foul

Here is the report from NFL.com from October 8.

NFL.com Chiefs News

(Oct. 8, 2006) -- Kansas City Chiefs Pro Bowl running back Larry Johnson was injured on a facemask tackle at the end of a 78-yard pass play late in the Week 5 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Johnson broke free down the left sideline after the short pass. The Cardinals' Antrel Rolle grabbed Johnson by the facemask and the running back's head was twisted as he fell out of bounds at the Arizona 8. He lay motionless for a moment, but eventually got up and left the field under his own power.

Rolle was called for a personal foul on the play.

It looked pretty bad on ESPN. Larry jut layed on the ground a while not moving. Antrell didn't do it on purpose you can tell. He let go of the facemask pretty quick. Edwards said he will be alright though.

Yeah it did look bad. I am glad that he could get up on his own power after that.

I don't recall a much worse face mask than that, it almost looked like Linda Blair in the Exorcist (J/K).

I saw a college QB get grabbed by the facemask once and afterwards you could see the back of his head through the facemask. LJ's looked awful... he's lucky he only got a strained neck out of it

He most likely will even if he didn't mean it, he might not of meant it when he first grabbed the face mask but he didn't let go until he knew he was going down.

I'm not so sure they will win this game but I'm sure w/o LJ they wouldn't win.
