He can lie to the media all he wants. That's his deal. He should not be lying to the players he's formed a tight bond with.

1. Wrong. Edwards had obvious interest to go to the Chiefs, and the Jets didn't want their coach wanting to be somewhere else. Yes, the Jets did have to give him permission to leave, but it wasn't like they fired him...

2. The Jets never told him to go @#$% himself, so I have no idea what you're talking about.

3. He wanted to go to the Chiefs, so he was happy when the Jets said he could. THey never told him @#$% you...

4. Yes, teams lie, but as stormdriver said, it is entirely different to lie to his players. The next time he goes to give the Chiefs a speech, they will always have it in the back of their minds that he lied to the Jets players.

I'm not saying he is a bad coach at all, but you have your facts mixed up. He did lie to both the media and his players, and basically bailed out on his contract because the Jets are bad...

Wanting to leave is where it started, like he said why keep a HC that doesn't want to be there?

Not exactly. Like bigboy said, having a head coach that doesn't want to be there is not going to do anybody any good. Herman Edwards was the one who wanted to leave, and the Chiefs basically unofficially offered him the job, so the Jets were in a no win situation and had to say yes. You need to actually learn the facts before making uneducated statements like you have been making...
