Herman Edwardws
How does everyone think Herm is going to affect the Chiefs D, Offence, SP. Teams.
I tink the D will improve.
I think the O will be as good as last year.
And I think the Chiefs will get their always soild sp. teams. Colquitt will be better at punting this year.

From what I saw of Herman Edwards on the Jets, he is a very passionate, and very good coach, but his time management is absolutely awful. It got so bad for the Jets that they had to hire a coach, who's only job was time management. Beware that this will be a problem with the Chiefs as well...

So let them hire a clock coach in KC as well, if that's all it takes to win.. Herm is an outstanding coach, and now that he's on a decent team, he'll only enhance his resume. I could really see him being HOF someday in fact.

But that is exactly the point stormdriver, he hired the clock guy last year, and things did not improve at all. Now granted, the Jets were bad destroyed by injuries, but even with this extra coach, Herm ignored him, and still managed to call timeouts when they weren't necessary, or just make poor decisions regarding the clock. He is a very passionate coach, but I lost a lot of respect for him after he lied to the entire New York media, expressing multiple times that he would never leave the Jets until his contract is up, nor that he had any interest at all in the Chiefs job.

I too think he is a real good coach and IMO the people he had calling some plays should have come under more fire as well.
Now IMO his situation in KC could still be rough, they play in a very tough division and conference and the playoffs will be hard to get too. The Cap is maxed and the D is still a ways away IMO and actually regressed last year after after adding what they thought were difference makers in Bell and Surtain. My fear is by the time the D hold up enough for them to make a playoff push the O, which is pretty old now may have almost all of it's intricate pieces either gone or on their way out IMO...Green, Shields, Roaf, Gonzalez, Kennison, and Richardson are all VERY key to what they do and as of now there doesn't appear to be a replacement lined up for any of them IMO.
I think it's a good bet to see a couple 10-6's and the only way they can win in the playoffs is if they get a home game...JMO though.

I'm with you. That's going to be a very tough division the next few years too, so 10-6 may only be a wildcard, if even that..

the reason he went to kc is because when the Jets allowed talks to begin he knew he was @#$%ed in NY. Why not go to a friend in Carl Peterson

I understand why he wanted to go to Kansas City, and if I were him I would too, but he flat out lied to both the media and his players. Even if he wanted to go to KC, the fact is he signed a contact to coach the Jets, and he is obligated to the Jets. Now obviously you can't tell the media that you want to be somewhere else, but with the passion and how he expressly said he did not want to coach Kansas City, I felt betrayed, not even being a Jets fan. Then to top it all off, he told his players after the last game that he would be back with the Jets the next season. Lying to the media is one thing, but lying to your players is another.

Yeah. I hadn't heard all that over here, but it is a shame. Betrayal pretty much sums it up I think.
