Holmes to begin practicing, could play Sunday

Im excited about the whole situation....If Priest can play half as good as he did when he was starting...the Chiefs will have a double threat in the running area..Larry Johnson and Priest Holmes are two completely differnt running backs. Holmes is an animal in the backfield and a good reciever...Johnson loves the outside and is very difficult to tackle in the open...Deffense's will have a hard time dealing with this and will give the Chiefs a little edge in my opinion...what are your thoughts??

Holmes is an animal in the backfield? he used to be, he'll be a shell of the 1500 yard rusher he was.. lets keep it real

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) The Chiefs have activated former Pro Bowl running back Priest Holmes for Sunday's game against Oakland.

Holmes has has been on the reserve, non-football injury list this season.

» Injuries | Fantasy injury report He has not played in a game since suffering head and neck injuries from a hit on Oct. 30, 2005.

He will back up starter Larry Johnson.

The Chiefs had already made room for Holmes by trading running back Michael Bennett to Tampa Bay.
