I thought I would give it another try but I can't deal with it. This is the worst game that has ever been made. I can't believe after 10 versions of it that it is so bad.

The challenge system is terrible, you can't challenge all challengable plays, just the ones that it will allow you to. And you can't go to instant replay first to decide if you want to challenge or not, you have to decide like 2 seconds after the play happens. And then even when you do challenge it picks out the two worst camera shots you could get, you can't see anything most of the time. And anytime the AI challenges it is an automatic success, it has never failed a challenge yet.

I also don't understand why the tubby lineman can out run my running backs and wide receivers. WTF. Or how a receiver can make catches without ever turning around to look at a ball, it goes right through their back and into their hands. Or how defenders can stand right in front of my receiver's route bringing them to a complete stop, and it isn't pass interference.

Or if you go to swat the ball, yeah that only works 50% of the time, the other 50% of the time he'll just level the receiver instead. Tweeeet! Yeah they get the flag of course. The defense is a joke, it is a one man defense because everybody else that you aren't controlling directly can't do anything by themselves, they can't even stay on their assigned guys.

You can't challenge a QB fumble either. You go to sack them, you hit them, the ball pops out, and then it is an incomplete pass. WTH. Yeah it is incomplete if he is throwing it to his shoelaces! You go to challenge and the challenge button is greyed out and you can't select it.

The worst thing is when players get their own personal force fields. Yeah when it matters most, you can't tackle the ball carrier, you just bounce off of him like you two were the same side of a magnet. Bang! Big play and you lose.

This disc is going to die a fiery death!

Yea I dont like Madden anymore... 2K sports makes better football games but they got forced out a few years ago. I am never buying Madden again

just to let you guys know, Madden 10 forsure has it's down falls, but compared to 08,09 it's got alot more ups, Gang Tackles are sweet.

But anyways to my point, Madden 11 has alot of new stuff! I mean they are revamping the whole catching game. no more random catches that don't even hit his hands, they are working with angles of hands with the ball.

"It is now possible for our ratings guys to make players that are quick over 10 to 20 yards, but get smoked at longer distances. A 90 speed player can now run the same 40 time as a 99 speed player, but lose over longer distances. I have a video here to highlight this. I created two players. The first is 99 speed, 90 acceleration (#99, on the top in the video). The second is 90 speed ,99 acceleration (#90 on the bottom in the video). The players race for 90 yards in the video. As you can see, the player with higher acceleration jumps out to an early lead, but gets passed at around 40 yards by the higher speed player. The animations aren't final (particularly the initial move that plays), and I still have some fine tuning to do on how we map the acceleration and speed ratings into our set of curves, but you can see how powerful acceleration is going to be in Madden NFL 11."

Madden needs many improvements, but is not horrible. I do agree that another competetor needs to be formed. I would like to have more options when it comes to football games.

And some of those long pass break ups need to be called pass interferance. I had my receiver open and then the defender ran into him broke it up. On any real game would been called pass interferance. And get this,,Wheres the illegal contact calls on madden 10?

Just destroyed the Panthers in the Divisional round. They started fast, first play was a 75 yard run by Williams for a TD, got up 13-0 in the first, my defense couldn't stop Williams. But then I clamped down on them. 4 interceptions (thank you Delhomme), 2 returned kickoffs for TDs, and three huge shots down the field later, the game ended 56-20. Giants win! BWAHAHAHA!!

Oh and I may still have the game but I still hate it. Twice the receiver made a catch out of bounds and it was called a catch. And I mean it wasn't even close, his whole foot was out of bounds. I challenged both times and they both were upheld.

I'm telling ya... Check out this year's NCAA demo... If it's any indication of where Madden will be this year, then it should be pretty fantastic... Seriously. It's quite fantastic as far as football is concerned.
