my point was that he doesn't try to win ever, he crumbles in the clutch, I was being sarcastic saying that he only did good when it hurt the team, ultimately fueling the rest of my argument that he NEVER does good. slow your roll, brother.

Why do you keep running back to the same old point? You think all of football is game winning drives?

Joey's 3rd year was better then ANY of Jake's first 6....plain and simple. Before there was any QB controversy in Det. he was doing fine with the crap around him. He shown me something from his first until his third year....progression. Do I need to show you Jake's first 3? 4? 5? 6?

He doesn't try to win ever? What do you base that off of? He crumbles in the clutch? What do you base that off of?

These are not backed up with anything, you already stated your hate for Joey and nothing would change your mind. Why bother? Just say you don't like him and that's it

Okay. Watching almost every game he's played in detroit..

Joey, so far, doesnt have good leadership qualities. He didnt say anything about/to dre bly when he blamed joey for mooch being fired. Was it a classy move by harrington? Absolutely. But it also lost him any respect the team had for him.

His biggest problem to me.. is his inconsistancy. He almost always has really good games, or really horrible ones. Alot of his really great performances happened late in the season when it didnt effect the lions season. So that sort of hints to me that he can crumble under pressure.

Browns pass on Harrington; Lions say Dolphins broke cap rules
Sun-Sentinel
By Alex Marvez
May 01, 2006

The Joey Harrington saga took another twist Sunday when the Detroit Lions unsuccessfully shopped the quarterback to Cleveland after being unable to strike a trade agreement with the Dolphins.

'[The Browns] had a real strong interest in getting a deal done,' Lions president Matt Millen told Detroit media Sunday. 'Apparently, they couldn't get it worked out.'

Harrington, who has said he will only play with the Dolphins in 2006, essentially controls his fate because of a $4 million roster bonus he is due June 15. Detroit is expected to release Harrington by then if a trade can't be finalized.

Millen said the Dolphins violated NFL rules by negotiating the framework of a new two-year contract with Harrington. Millen said he had only given permission for the Dolphins to meet with Harrington to decide whether to pursue a trade.

'I think that's a [salary] cap violation,' Millen said of the Dolphins' pending agreement with Harrington. 'You can't talk about a contract. ... I'm giving them permission to talk to him and get to know the kid.'

Dolphins coach Nick Saban denied any wrongdoing.

'I feel comfortable that we've done everything within the boundaries that were given to us,' said Saban, who plans to make Harrington his backup quarterback behind Daunte Culpepper. 'I just don't feel like we've done anything wrong. We're going to continue trying to be positive about trying to get this worked out.'

Asked whether he would file a complaint with the NFL's Management Council, Millen said. 'We'll talk about that stuff when the time comes, if it comes.'

Allen meets the press Dolphins first-round pick Jason Allen met with South Florida media Sunday.

The defensive back showed no ill effects from the left hip surgery he underwent midway through his senior season at Tennessee to correct a dislocation.

'The biggest thing was watching my teammates knowing I couldn't be out there,' Allen said of missing the final six games of his college career. 'Every day I was rehabbing, doing those leg curls, I'm saying to myself, `I'm coming back better than ever.''

Four free agents agree Tennessee running back Gerald Riggs Jr., the son of former NFL running back Gerald Riggs; Colorado State quarterback Justin Holland; Florida State linebacker Sam McGrew and Mississippi State center Chris McNeil agreed to terms as free agents after the draft, according to a source. McNeil rebounded from two alcohol-related incidents, including one that led to his arrest, to start at center his final two college seasons.

Boston recuperates Agent Mitch Frankel said former Dolphins wide receiver David Boston has undergone surgeries on both knees to 'clean out' debris but should be ready to begin working out for NFL teams later this month. Knee injuries sidelined Boston for most of his two seasons with the Dolphins.

Frankel, who represents Allen, said he had spoken with the Dolphins about the possibility of re-signing Boston. But that now seems unlikely with the team drafting wide receivers Derek Hagan (third round) and Devin Aromashodu (seventh).

Is discussing a contract with player under contract a violation?

Millen is an idiot...he doesn't even sound sure if it's a violation or not.
