Dolphins Waive TE Alex Holmes

The Miami Dolphins today waived tight end Alex Holmes. Holmes was in camp with the team last year as an undrafted college free agent out of USC.

After starting the season on the practice squad, he was signed to the 53-man roster and went on to play in eight games, all in a reserve role. He caught one pass for two yards.
