Dolphins' Jacksonville game a chance to shine -- South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com

DAVIE - Dolphins coach Cam Cameron was emphatic on Thursday when asked whether Saturday's exhibition opener with Jacksonville is more important to some players than others.
"Yes!" was his answer, and wide receivers P.K. Sam, Kerry Reed, David Sutton and Michael Malone know what he means.
"How you block. How you run routes. How you take notes," Sutton said. "Everything is important. We're all pushing, and we're all competitive. You want to do something that gives the coaches a reason to keep you.
"We can't afford to look beyond this game."
Each of the young receivers has had moments in training camp where they have performed as if they belong. Special teams could be the difference.
"They are watching every move you make," Reed said. "You have to be solid on fundamentals and techniques. You have to stay focused and not make a silly mistake."
Sam, the former FSU receiver who has a Super Bowl ring from New England's 24-21 win over Philadelphia in Super Bowl XXXIX, gained confidence in NFL Europa, where he had 32 catches (529 yards and three touchdowns) for Rhein.
"If you try to be spectacular, you usually mess up," Sam said. "You need to run good routes, block, catch the ball and make plays on special teams."
