Dolphins' Morris says his suspension was ‘like leprosy’

Sammy Morris had it even worse.

Shortly after participating Wednesday in his first regular-season practice, the versatile running back and special teams standout spoke publicly for the first time about his four-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

Morris said he wasn't told his appeal of a positive test was denied until two days before the Dolphins' Aug. 31 exhibition finale against St. Louis. Morris said he tested positive for ephedrine, which is on the league's banned substance list.
