Things like this rarely start in the mainstream media, on TV or in newspaper columns. Things like this tend to start out in the real world, at fan level. In conversations over beers, elbows on a bar. As angry, call-in sermons that disappear into the rant-radio atmosphere. Or maybe in web logs or on message boards, where anybody with a computer and an opinion is free to plant any seed, knowing that losing waters the seed, and that frustration is its sunlight.
