Default Miami Dolphins news 10/25

Q&A with Dolphins writer Alex Marvez

Q: The Dolphins are going nowhere for the next several years, so why not trade Zach, Chambers, and Jason Taylor NOW while you can get some good draft choices for them and start rebuilding?

A: The NFL's trading deadline passed last week. Plus, it would be almost impossible to deal any of those players at this point because it would trigger mass salary acceleration into the Dolphins' already-tight cap.

Default Allen seems to be taking similar path as Polamalu

In theory, Dolphins coach Nick Saban had the right idea.

Saban recognized that the safety position has become so important that he selected Jason Allen in the first round of April's draft. The Dolphins expected Allen to make an immediate impact and potentially evolve into a safety with Pro Bowl honors, which is the kind of player each of the past six Super Bowl winners had in their secondaries.

Nick Saban has won of the most complex skeams in the secondary around the NFL. It is going to take Allen time to learn the system not even to mention he missed a lot of camp time.

I agree Mularkey has been the reason our offense has been so horrid.

Mularkey is one of the reasons that Buffalo stunk so bad last year (this year is another story that I haven't figured out yet).

You have no idea how happy we were to see two failed head coaches become coordinators in Miami.

Dom Capers is a good DC, but MM sucks as OC.
