Now that Dolphins quarterback Trent Green has returned from neurological testing in Kansas City, his next step toward a recovery from his latest concussion is simple.
Plenty of rest.
Coach Cam Cameron said Green would spend some time getting his mind right by staying away from any physical activity.
''[The doctors] recommended some rest, and I think they all want to let things settle down and make sure we all know what took place,'' Cameron said. ``He, obviously, won't be practicing this week. We're trying to limit his activity as much as possible.''
Make no mistake, despite Green's optimism that he'll someday be able to return to action for the Dolphins, Cameron has no plans to rush the process. Like the stance taken with linebacker Zach Thomas, the team's medical staff will be involved in deciding Green's progress.
''From a coach's standpoint, when you only got 53 guys on your roster, it's a blow to your team,'' Cameron said. ``But I plan on leaving this game with a clear conscience. I don't think you can put a price on that.''
The team will simply take a wait-and-see approach for at least another week.
''[Green] feels good,'' Cameron said. ``I think we just need to let some time go by here. There's still some more work and things they will be doing. We've got to just kind of let some time go by.''
