the new england and at miami are hardly easy wins, but could happen, I say 10-6 is more likely

I love the Vikes, but they aren't going to do well this season. 6-10.
Star power: The Vikes don't have any - No Moss (again), no Culpepper (sniff), Burleson (free agent), Kluwe (uncertain - recovering from a torn ACL in right knee).
NFL Draft: They did not aquire anybody that will make a major impact this season. Chad Greenway is a first good step to be sure, but not enough to 'turn it around' (at least not this season). Greg Blue has the potential to be a star on special teams, but I don't know if that'll be enough.
Superior Opponents: There are a lot of others teams that are simply better in terms of players, coaching and momentum. The Vikes have the potential to be a great team, but it will not happen this season ... it will take a while before the Vikes regain their position of dominance in the NFL.

the vikings have always been somewhat hard to predict as far as overall record goes. you know they're going to do certain things like give up 3rd and long's and blow leads in each game, but its hard to tell when they'll pull a winning streak out of their asses (see last year). they do have potential to be good in a couple years, but they are not even close to having potential to be a dominant team. when they figure out the long term QB, WR and RB situations on offense and finally find a way to shore up the defense (yes they played well for part of last year, but on a whole they usually don't) then they may have something in the makings. right now though, they'll be LUCKY to go 9-7. I'd say 7-9 or 8-8 is more likely, if you throw in a couple of those what-the-hell-just-happened wins
