Game 4:Vikes vs Cowboys
Quote:
About the Vikings: The Vikings (2-1) have an 11-day layoff between tonight's game and the regular-season opener Sept. 11 at Washington. As a result, coach Brad Childress plans to play starting QB Brad Johnson for the entire first half. Usually starters only see brief action during the final exhibition game. ... Childress plans to have rookie QB Tarvaris Jackson play the third quarter and J.T. O'Sullivan work the fourth quarter. This would leave struggling Mike McMahon and his 23.7 quarterback rating on the bench. ... The playing time of RB Mewelde Moore (knee) and CB Fred Smoot (ribs) will be game-time decisions but it wouldn't be surprising if Smoot sat out. CB Charles Gordon (knee) might see brief action.
About the Cowboys: Will he or won't he play? Recalcitrant WR Terrell Owens practiced for the first time in 10 days on Tuesday after being sidelined (left hamstring). Owens probably won't play until the regular-season opener, but there is a chance he could get in for a series tonight just to get some work. The Cowboys fined him $9,500 for being late to a meeting and an injury rehab session last week. He claimed he overslept. ... Childress, who spent last season living through the Owens saga in Philadelphia, was asked if he felt empathy for Cowboys coach Bill Parcells. "I don't know about empathize," he said. "Bill is a big boy, and he can stand on his own two feet." ... The Cowboys are 3-0 in the preseason. Dallas beat San Francisco 17-7 on Saturday. ... Kicker Mike Vanderjagt, sidelined for most of training camp because of a groin injury, has been practicing this week and should be able to play tonight.

Well the game just went into overtime. The Vikings have been playing really good and the first team defense held the Cowboys to only 3 points

It's a tie! Vanderjact missed two field goals in over time, one of them was only like 32 yards

As long as he misses against the Bears. I'll call him my hero.
I liked the Vikes +7 in this one. But it was too late when I looked.

yeah there were a lot of passes. It was such a long game. At the end both the Vikings and Cowboys were throwing pretty much 80% of the time just trying to end the game.
