EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (Sept. 3, 2006) -- The Minnesota Vikings have signed two NFL veterans to their roster, defensive back Rashad Baker and running back Artose Pinner, the team announced.
Baker, a third-year player out of Tennessee, played for the Buffalo Bills in 2004 and 2005, starting three games. Pinner, a fourth-year player out of Kentucky, has started six games in his career and was the second-leading rusher for the Detroit Lions in 2005 with 349 yards.
The Vikings released receiver Jason Carter and running back Wendell Mathis and added tight end Richard Angulo, cornerback Charles Gordon, receiver Martin Nance, tackle Donald Penn and defensive end Khreem Smith to the practice squad.
