Post Koren and Vikings not so close

the Vikings want to sign Koren to a long term deal and according to his agent the WR doesn't want anything long term. If a deal can't be reached by Friday he will become a free agent.

The Vikings cannot afford to lose this guy. He is a great playmaker and clearly their best reciever.

Vikings: KoRo contract talks stalled
The News
The agent who represents free agent wide receiver Koren Robinson expressed doubt on Tuesday that he and the Vikings will hammer out a new contract before Friday's deadline. "We have our differences on what the market value is on Koren as a player," agent Alvin Keels told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "It's not something that can't be worked out. But if I were a betting man, I wouldn't put my money on it being worked out by Friday." Robinson earned a spot on the NFC Pro Bowl roster as a special teams ace in 2005.
Our View
KoRo is coming off an impressive season, but it's hard to blame the Vikings for balking at investing in a player who has a long history of problems off the field. The Purple reportedly have the option of matching any offer Robinson receives as a free agent, so don't be surprised if they let other teams establish his market value
