Fantasy Vikings Draft
Disregarding trades upcoming, what do you guys think about a draft like this for the Vikings;
1 - Justin King - Stock rising and every Penn state game I saw, he held his man in check. I see him being a more consistent pro than Aqib Talib.
2 - Dustin Keller - Everyone complains about the receiver, but give TJ a short yardage playmaking TE and I figure that'd help the consistency factor, as well as the chains
moving.
3 - John David Booty - Will drop due to the lack of young QB need; but his winning sense would be welcomed. Would be a good relief QB if TJ is faltering.
4 - Tony Temple - Versatile "Gamer". No need to start him, obviously, but after those long 60 yard runs AP and CT come up with, it'd be good to get a guy to knock some time off the clock.
5 - Ben Moffitt - Not sure he'd last this long, but he is very instinctive and could replace Chad Greenway on special teams.
6 - Antoine Cason - One of those premier guys that falls to the bottom. Would be a steal to add his playmaking abilities to the dud Secondary the Vikings have.
7 - Curtis Johnson - Never heard of the guy, but reading this; "In 21 games at Clark-Atlanta, Johnson started 10 times at right defensive end and 11 times on the left side. He recorded 182 tackles (119 solo) with 18.5 sacks for minus-148 yards and 45 stops for losses totaling 247 yards. He caused 10 fumbles, recovered five others for 144 yards in returns, including three touchdowns and blocked two kicks. He deflected six passes and intercepted another for a one-yard return. He also had three two-point conversions." I think he'd require a second look on tape.
Ok just did this for kicks, but I do like to write so give me more to write about.
