Damon Duval Named CFL Special Teams Player of the Week
Montreal Alouettes kicker Damon Duval was named the CFL's Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 7 following an exceptional performance in the Alouettes' 39-11 win over the Blue Bombers in Winnipeg last Friday, Aug. 8.
Duval nailed a career-best six field goals, from distances of 33, 42, 52, 23, 24, and 20 yards, with the 52-yarder also a career high. The four-year Alouette veteran currently leads the CFL with 22 field goals on 23 attempts for 95.7 per cent efficiency rate. He is currently on a streak of 16-consecutive field goals and is approaching the team record of 21 set by Don Sweet in 1976.
