I agree, they have looked pretty good, but have a long way to go. Winning on the road against a legit opponent will go a long ways as well as someone at cornerback really stepping up. But I am pretty happy with their progress. And while its still early and he has eons of learning to do, Manning has been very impressive to say the least. Nice movement in the pocket, throwing on the run, touch passes, bullets, check-offs, he's really shown it all these past two weeks. There is no doubt that a ton of his evolution was due to taking the chance last year and starting him the second half of the season. Was it a risk? Of course. But it was one they HAD to take. And his development has certainly shown it.
Other than the divisional games away, their schedule is very favorable.

Broncos, Vikings, and Chiefs are all at home. The toughest non-divisional road game is the Seahawks. Not too bad. I can see a 10-6 year now, 2 better than what I thought before the year started.
That Charger loss does not look as bad considering what San Diego did in New England against Belichek's depleted D.
