I wouldn't say Eli is a long way away or anything like that, in fact I think he's ready to break through.

As far as the Skins and 'Boys, I see them taking a step back this year...especially at the QB spot in Washington, Brunell seemed to wear down a bit and they're not sure he will even start next year over Campbell. And IMO I think father time catches up to the 'Boys this year....especially Bledsoe, JMO.

^Really? I would have picked Dallas to take that division this year, and possibly make the Superbowl in 2008...

Dallas is VERY long in the tooth and a lot of their youth isn't panning out IMO.

On offense their best OL men is Allen who is almost always out of shape and getting very old and shown his age this year. Flozell had a horrible injury and may not be the same and that unit was pretty bad last year. And you know about how old Rivera is getting as well. The WR's as well are a very old bunch and the mileage IMO is mounting on Glenn and Key. I certainly can't see Bledsoe and there's now way the Tuna is there in 2008. Now they have Witten who is really good but there's no consistency at the RB spot at all and it's looking like a committee approach next year and if the OL doesn't come together it won't even matter.

On D, they played a lot better but again their best players are bit older, while they have Ware, Spears, and Canty on the D-line their better players like Ferguson, Glover and Ellis ( who may be cut) are all getting a bit up there. The LBer's lost their captain when Dat retired and they're left with an unproven James and again an older Singelton. The secondary is hurting, while they have Roy Williams they're hurting at FS and Newman has been far from what they wanted when they picked him that high and Henry while he played better the second half of the year he was horrible early on.

I just don't see them being that good next year and the QB situation with Dallas and Washington is a big reason why. Along with the HC's, I do think Campbell will play a lot in Washington and that will have a ripple effect on their whole O and I think now that there's tape on Drew with Dallas he'll be schemed accordingly. Just my little break down LOL

I have to disagree with you on the Cowboys. They are very young and inexperienced, but I think Bill Parcells has put together all the pieces, minus a few positions and is going to try to win it all this year, or retire at the end of the year...

i agree that they win the division, but a superbowl berth may not be in the cards. it is still possible, but they still need to get some young talent via free agency and/or the draft.

If anyone knows how to draft, it's Parcells. They'll be deep in the playoffs next year.

Sorry guys I have to get on my horse for a little bit here.

Adams is said to be doing well and should make a full recovery. I do feel that it usely takes a full season to get back to their old form, but we will wait and see. Allen is getting old and is not what he use to be but he is still one of the top guards in the NFL right now. Al Johnson went thru a soph slump and should be better next year with a little added weight. Rivera had a back problem all year but hopefully this offseason he will get healthy and return to old self. As far as RT I expect us to draft some one high, first day pick, but more than likely try and get some vet to the RT this year.

JJ even though he missed some game and had to split time with 3 other backs still almost got 1000 yards. MB3 played much better than I had expected and will only get better. Tyson Thompson is so fast that they should tey and get him the ball at lest 5-10 times a game.

Glenn and Johnson are both old but they are both productive. Crayton was coming on strong last year untill he got hurt. They do need some more youth here but this years is a bad WR class. Wittens numbers feel but that is because they were getting him to do more blocking this year than last, mostly because of the poor play of our tackles and the fact we do not have a good FB.

Ellis, Glover, and Ferguson are all getting old but they were very productive for us. Ellis had 8 sacks that is a lot for a 3-4 DE I would be the entire Steelers DL does not have that many. Glover is going to another Pro Bowl this year. Both players were benched later in the year as some of the young guys were taking over. Ellis will be back next year. Glover is another question if he reworks his contract then he could be traded. If not they might keep him around not to take a cap hit. All that being said we do have Coleman, Spears, Canty, Ratliff, and Johnson four of whom are rookies that got playing time last year and played well when they did.

The LB is the key to a 3-4 defense and right noe we have to of the spots filled. Ware played well in his first season as a LB and should get even better. James stepped up his game and took over the job of being a leader for the front seven. The loss of Dat hurst and he needs to be replaced. The team is talking about moving last years 2nd round pick Burnet inside and then more than likely drafting a OLB high this year. What ever they do I think that they will sign one vet ILB.

If we are evey able to find a FS then the secondary would be set. Too many times we had guys come open because of the safety not rolling over to pickup the man till too late. Henry played well and was able to go up against teams bigger WR, untill he got hurt then he was never the same. Newman had a bad '04 season and most people think he had a bad '05 season because the only times you see him is when he is chasing some one down when the FS screwed up the coverage. When he locked onto a WR most times the QB would not even throw him the ball.

Bledsoe played well all season. If you give him a good OL he can pick apart a defense. In the first six games of the year he avg. more than 300 yards passing a game after Adams got hurt that dropped to 179. So if we can get the OL ready Bledsoe will be there. That is also a joke about his lack of moblity

Im not going to say yes we will be in the SB in '08. We should be in the playoffs this year and if we are able to fill the holes and every one stays healthy then the SB this year is not out of the question.

See and I agree with just about everything Manster said, it's just that with the age at their key positions it could really go either way...with age comes decline and I'm not saying it will be everyone but the possibility is there...just my 2 cents.

The spots where age hurts us is at WR and QB. Bledsoe is still good but our backup well lets just say that they are unproven at best. WR we do have Crayton to step up if Glenn goes down but we dont have anyone to fill in for Johnson. The OL we have Peterman that can play OG and Gurode will get another chance either at OG or C. As far as tackles go they did bring in Marc Colombo who is a former 1st round pick that just could never stay healthy. If he does not start hopefully he can be a good backup. I look for them to add some else both in the draft and FA to the mix.
