I am pumped up for next season as well. With most of the team returning, and another year of experience under their belts, I see no reason why they won't make it to the playoffs, and possibly the Super Bowl!

Yeah, and maybe the Saints will play them for the NFC Championship, after they get past the Cardinals.
The Giants have a long way to go before I would mention "Super Bowl"...

A "long way" is right. Your first problem is your starting QB. He has a problem with "happy feet." He's too scared. He looks like a baby out there. He's very easily rattled. Maybe it's a maturity thing or maybe that's just how he is. In your case, you better hope it's a maturity thing and that someday he'll outgrow it. I however, think that it's just in his genes to be scared.

Don't be counting out the Packers either. We're in the exact same boat as Philly, we fell from grace this year when we lost all but two impact players to injuries. We'll get them back and be right back on top, except we'll have a better draft pick to boot....
If I had to pick right now though, I'd say either Cincinnati or Denver will face off against Seattle or Tampa.

I don't know how you can say that...They made it to the playoffs this year when they were expected to go 7-9. They had a ton of injuries, ending the season with a 9th string linebacker starting, and half of the offensive line with lingering injuries. They will make the playoffs in 2007. Super Bowl might be going a little far, but they will be back to the big game in the next couple of years.

Give Eli a break, it was his first full year as an NFL quarterback. Remember when Peyton was a rookie, he was even worse than Eli was this year. You obviously didn't watch the Giants too much this year, because if you did you would know that he didn't have happy feet that much. Most of his problems were making bad decisions throwing the ball, but he was never babyish at all.

I won't argue that they're going to the playoffs. I don't doubt that at all. I just think they won't go to the Superbowl until they get a quarterback who can throw harder and/or further. Happy feet are an issue, but as you said, he improved there. The remaining problem is he can't throw the ball. He can't slant, he can't rocket the ball anywhere, and he gets picked off five times in one game. I know I've been watching Favre for 15 years, and may be used to that style of play, but I still feel there is too much wobbling, lack of velocity, and inaccuracy in Eli's passing to make him a Super bowl QB. If he had a different last name, I doubt he would even be a starter, unless it were in the CFL.
Other than him though, the Giants are an excellent team, well balanced and talented in almost all areas. I expect that when Eli blows it this coming year and falls out of favor with the fans, they'll just get a new QB and perhaps a kicker. After that, they'll have everything they need to be Super Bowl champs in 2008 or so.
