i just heard on chicago sports radio that amani toomer will be done for the season due to a partial tear of his acl. i haven't seen any links yet, just wanted to post this info.

Michael Eisen, of Giants.com, reports New York Giants WR Amani Toomer (knee) will miss the remainder of the season with a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Burress didnt practice today either. Tim Carter and Michael Jennings arent exactly going to put up career numbers against the Bears defense, I hope Tiki Barber, Jacobs, and Shockey are ready to pick up the slack.

once Burress is healthy IMO we'll be ok. Losing Toomer hurts but this just means bigger roles for Shockey and Carter

if the Giants are smart they'll IR Toomer now and sign a defensive end. Umenyiora and Tuck are doubtful, Strahan is out...that leaves us with 2 DE's and a LB that played DE in college.
