Meanwhile, there were unconfirmed rumors that the Jets were thinking of swapping their first pick, 25th overall, and a defensive starter, to the Lions for the second overall pick. http://www.thejournalnews.com/apps/pbcs.dl.../703050373/1108
the starter i have heard is Jonathan Vilma. For the Lions i would also want a second or third, for the pick.
Vilma (even though i think he is overrated) is thier defense, they cant trade him... maybe a guy like Eric Barton but not Vilma....

Vilma doesnt fit the system, it wouldnt be that much of a stretch

who the hell do they want so bad?

Calvin Johnson......sorta makes sense to me since all of the Jet Wrs are midget deep threats. How about a guy that can actually go anywhere on the field.
I dont see this trade happening at all. I dont see the jets wanting to move up to #2 for CJ when it still looks like the Raiders could likely take him. And I dont think theres anyone available around the 25th pick that the lions really want. Maybe Patrick Willis, but we wouldnt need him if we got Vilma
