Giants secondary is really hurting
http://www.nypost.com/seven/01112008...lue_439624.htm
January 11, 2008 -- The sight of cornerback Kevin Dockery hobbling on a pair of crutches yesterday means the Giants are not going into Sunday's NFC divisional playoff game against the Cowboys at full strength in their defensive backfield.
Dockery played in last week's playoff game in Tampa despite a hip flexor, but he obviously suffered a physical setback. There's no chance he'll be able to recover in time for this game, and that leaves the Giants without their nickel back and a valuable player who specializes in covering speed receivers in the slot position.
The absence of Dockery makes it even more important that veteran cornerback Sam Madison find his way to the field, but that's not likely to happen. Madison suffered a strained abdominal muscle in the regular-season finale and was unable to play against the Buccaneers. His availability for this weekend is seriously in doubt. He was in full pads and was able to do some individual work but again could not practice.
The Giants likely will start rookie Aaron Ross and Corey Webster as the corners and use veteran R.W. McQuarters as the nickel back. The only other cornerback on the roster is rookie Geoffrey Pope, who was signed Dec. 31 off the practice squad.

NY is really gonna need o get constant pressure from their front 4, and thats something they havent been able to do in the first 2 games against Dallas. Dallas is gonna have TO, Glenn and Crayton, so the secondary is gonna need alot of help from the front 4

You're still sold that T.O. is gonna be a force in that game, he's not gonna be a force, he's going to be a distraction for the Giants Secondary, but he'll catch a few passes. I think Umenyiora might finally be able to penetrate past Flozzell Adams, and Strahan will beat Colombo deeper into the game.

TO is TO, he is a guy who caught 9 pass for 130 in the SB after breaking his leg
IDK about that as far as Uminyora, usually it works the other way around, with the OL haveing the advatage in rematches
Strahan could have some success, he has had suuccess against Colombo before ( a 3 sack game in 2006)

Dunno after seeing Umenyiora blow up Jason Peters a Pro Bowl tackle for the Bills I have some belief that he can get pressure. Strahan is a monster, he'll get a lot of penetration. Manning has been relaxing very comfortably in the pocket, I'm likin' what I see in this matchup, also Jacobs = Beast.

He can, but I dont see them getting it consistanly enough against our line wich is one of the best in the NFL at pass protection
Dallas is also is one of the better run D's in the league, and Jacobs has no consuatant history agianst us. He had a decent game the last time, but was a non factor in the first game before getting hurt. That even extends to when he was a reserve behind Tiki. jaconbs agianst Dallas = good moments ( had some key conversions) and bad moments (cost them 2 games)
IMO I just think people are bieng to quick to sell Dallas short in this game

Lol, Shockey broke his ankle and leg he had surgery on them a couple weeks ago, yep, he's still out. As it's true grunt that Jacobs doesn't have any consistent history against the Boys they've been on fire and have a hell of a lot of momentum coming into this game, Jacobs and Bradshaw are playing like animals and Eli is finally standing in the pocket comfortablly.
The only reason that people are counting Dallas out is because, well, look at how they have played the last few weeks. Sources report your biggest issue, Jessica Simpson, might not be at the game.

That's what I kind of thought but the giants depth chart still shows Shockey listed without a * next to his name. I thought I might of been thinking of another player/team. Yes I'm senile once in a while. The only difference is I can admit it. LOL
Sorry but Jessica is going to be at my place tonight.
